Hello, everyone! I know it's been a while since I last touched this project. I also know I said I wouldn't work on this anymore, but I changed my mind. Out of all of my projects, this one was by far my favorite. I also noticed that this game is severely lacking in player retention, which is why I want to continue work on the game.

'Demo' Update

This update includes many additions, tweaks, and overall improvements to the current version of the game. This update also has Linux support! Since my Linux VM doesn't run well, please let me know how it performs! This is supposed to replace the previous version of the game, but in case you would prefer that version over this one, I will keep it up as a download. However, this is not the update that will be bringing much more content to the game and 'game jam' version will not be getting any more support. I'll get into that in a little bit. Here's a list of everything that was done to the game:

• Added a Linux version of the game
• Increased game's resolution to reduce the GUI's jitteriness
• Updated logo
• Updated main menu and game over screens
• The player can get a game over now from putting a post behind a preexisting one
• Adjusted the game's volume to lessen the sudden increase in volume when starting the game
• Updated cursor which goes invisible when the game is started
• When playing, the cursor is now unable to exit the window
• The ESC key must be held down now to exit the game, instead of immediately exiting the game
• Pressing 'R' to restart is now removed (it was only meant to be for debugging)
• The 'rock ending' has been changed so the post no longer falls through the ground
• The speed of the clouds has increased and they will continue to move even when the game is over
• Added exhaust particles to the truck
• Replaced old logo and screenshots with new ones

Full Release Info

The reason why I'm dubbing this update as the demo update is because it will be acting as the game's demo for when the full release is completed and uploaded. The full release will not be free (will probably be $0.99 - $2.99), but there will be a new mode for the game that will be like a story mode. In this, you will have limited posts, days, paychecks, and upgrades. Your pay for doing your job will be based on how well you perform your job (angle, spacing, etc.). This money you earn can then be spent on getting more posts for the day, other temporary upgrades for that day, or permanent upgrades. There is not a set date for when this release will be complete, but I will be posting updates and sneak peeks on my Twitter.
